By using Clap, operated by Virtual Playgrounds Inc. ("we," "us," "Clap"), at clap.gg, you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). We may periodically revise these Terms by posting updates clearly online. Your continued use of Clap after updates indicates acceptance.
Users must be at least 18 years old. By registering, you confirm eligibility and represent you're physically healthy for any physically demanding challenges. Clap is not a medical provider. Always consult a physician before participating in physically active challenges.
You must provide accurate information and maintain confidentiality of your account details, including mandatory phone verification. You are fully responsible for all activities under your account; misuse or false information may lead to termination.
Clap uses AI to record, analyze, and judge participant submissions based on criteria such as accuracy, speed, quantity, originality, clarity, adaptability, consistency, engagement, and reliability. By participating, you explicitly consent to this AI processing of your submissions.
By participating, you agree that your videos will be recorded, analyzed by our AI systems for contest scoring, feedback, and verification. Your submissions may be stored securely to verify results and improve contest performance.
Participants own submitted content but grant Clap a non-exclusive, global license for use within the platform. Creators grant Clap a perpetual license for challenge content and receive a limited, default license to use participant submissions for 90 days post-challenge strictly for specific promotional purposes. Broader promotional use requires explicit participant opt-in.
Participants must comply with our Code of Conduct, which explicitly prohibits cheating, harassment, unlawful content, hate speech, offensive behavior, and attempts to manipulate contests. Violations can lead to immediate disqualification and account termination.
Creators must define clear challenge rules, criteria for participation, judging methodology, and prize details. Participants must adhere to each challenge's individual rules.
Initially, entry fees and prizes are not standard but may be introduced. If applicable, entry fees, prizes, and contest-specific terms will be clearly stated. Refund requests will be reviewed case-by-case, typically covering technical errors or cancellations.
Creators offering prizes bear sole responsibility for prize fulfillment and legal compliance. Clap provides guidelines and disclaimers but does not directly fulfill or validate prizes. Participants should report issues via hey@clap.gg.
You voluntarily assume all risks related to participation. You expressly release Virtual Playgrounds Inc. DBA Clap and its affiliates from liability related to technical malfunctions, AI evaluation delays or inaccuracies, and physical injury or damages. Our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Users must possess rights to all content they upload. Intellectual property infringement notifications can be sent to hey@clap.gg.
We collect your phone number, video content, and usage data to facilitate participation, secure your account, and improve services. We do not sell your personal data. See detailed privacy practices below.
We may terminate or suspend accounts for violations. Data handling post-termination aligns with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by Delaware law. Informal negotiations (60-day resolution via hey@clap.gg) precede binding arbitration administered by JAMS.

These Official Contest Rules govern participation in all challenges hosted on Clap (operated by Virtual Playgrounds Inc.). Individual challenges may have additional rules clearly stated on the challenge page.
Participants must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
Participants must be legal residents of eligible jurisdictions, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
Employees and affiliates of Virtual Playgrounds Inc. or any contest sponsor, including their immediate families, are not eligible to win prizes.
Register with a verified phone number.
Follow instructions explicitly provided on the challenge page.
Participants may replay challenges freely; however, if a prize is offered, only the participant's first submission will count towards prize eligibility. Subsequent submissions will be for practice or entertainment purposes and will not influence prize outcomes.
Participant submissions (e.g., video, audio, text) are judged primarily by AI, based on one or more of the following criteria:
Accuracy (correctness of responses)
Speed (response time)
Originality and creativity
Relevance and clarity (alignment and understandability)
Consistency and comprehensiveness
Adaptability and engagement
While AI-based scoring is standard, Clap retains the right for human judges to review and override AI scores if discrepancies or errors occur. Decisions made by human judges are final and binding.
If applicable, detailed prize information (type, value, and quantity) will be clearly listed on each specific challenge page.
Winners will be notified by phone, email, or platform notification within 7 days of the challenge conclusion.
Prize winners must respond within 48-72 hours of notification or risk prize forfeiture.
Challenge creators are solely responsible for prize distribution and compliance with relevant laws.
Clap facilitates the platform but does not fulfill or validate prizes unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Participants with prize-related issues should first contact the challenge creator and subsequently Clap via hey@clap.gg if unresolved.
Participants may be disqualified for:
Violating challenge-specific or platform-wide rules.
Attempting manipulation, cheating, or exploiting technical vulnerabilities.
Providing false or misleading information. Disqualified participants lose eligibility for prizes.
Participants acknowledge and voluntarily accept all participation risks. Participants explicitly release Virtual Playgrounds Inc., its affiliates, partners, and sponsors from any liabilities related to:
Injury or damages from participation.
Technical issues, delays, or inaccuracies in judging.
Other losses directly or indirectly related to participation.
Void where prohibited by law.
Taxes on prizes are solely the winner's responsibility.
Prizes cannot be substituted, redeemed for cash, transferred, or assigned, except by Clap, who reserves the right to substitute prizes with comparable alternatives.
These rules and all challenges are governed by Delaware state law, irrespective of conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes or claims must follow dispute resolution procedures in the Terms of Service.
